The International cup was up for grabs again. This time the venue was the new Chiang Mai Inthanon golf course, and what a day it turned out to be. 40 members had signed up for this Texas scramble event and everyone turned up bright and early. So early in fact that the shotgun start was 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Thank you all.
The course was in as good condition as you can expect from a brand new golf course. The fairways nice with enough grass to make decent shots and yet give lots of roll, so many long drives were made. The greens are still a bit hard, but very nice and they read true.
The staff at Inthanon did a great job with transportation to the various tees and even had set out the nearest to pin markers, much too our pleasant surprise.
The Ambrose system worked very well, with a difference of only 5 shots between the winning team and the last team.
Results were as follows:
1. Team Australia Net 58
2. Team International Vikings Net 59
3, Team North America Net 59.99
4. Team International Nomads Net 60
4, Team Canada Net 60
4. Team Colonials Net 60
7. Team England Crusaders Net 61
8, Team USA Net 62
8. Team International Fusion Net 62
10, Team Thai Net 63

As there are four persons who must count three drives each (12 drives) in a team that will leave two holes/drives for the captain to decide. The person whose drive is counted must mark his ball with a tee and the other three players must place their ball near the tee to take their teams second shot. The person whose drive w
as counted cannot play a second shot, it has to be one of the three other players. There is no restriction on third or fourth shots, any team members shot can be counted..The f
our par threes have no restrictions. Any team members shot can be counted.Once you are on the green and the best ball is chosen, it is to be marked and all four players will putt from that position. Each player will putt in turn and once the ball is in the hole that score will be counted. In other words if you putt a ball up to the edge of the hole for one and then tap it in without giving your team mates the chance to one putt then the score stands as two putts. So even if it is on the rim, mark it and give you team mates a chance at a one
